"The Perfect Menopause" is quite possibly the most scientific and current resource on menopause. Offering natural, medical, and bioidentical hormones as therapy options gives women hope who are suffering from perimenopausal or menopausal hormonal imbalances. Written by a menopause specialist, Dr. Henry Hess, who has a background in chemistry and gynecology, makes me wonder why there aren't more specialists like him around. The time has come to manage our menopause and to make it the best time of our life ! Read this book and find a physician in your area who can help you explore these possibilities. Fortunately I live in Rochester NY and have requested to become a patient of Dr. Hess. I've recommended this book to all friends and family !

Thank you, Dr. Hess, for giving information that I and other women have been asking for! I just purchased the book and have made an appointment with my health care provider to implement your suggestions for an easier menopause and more comfortable menopause and middle life!

After reading the entire book in one sitting (a trans-Atlantic flight), I feel a new sense of hope! Rather than referring to myself as a miserable menopausal maniac, I am now going to take control of my symptoms rather than allowing them to continue to sabotage my mid-life body. I plan to manage my menopause using the strategies outlined in this most helpful book!

Thanks in advance for what I expect to achieve as remarkable improvements over the next 6 months!

At the library, your book practically jumped off the New Non-fiction shelf into my hands. Having been in perimenopause for about 5 years already (I am 46 now), I was managing my little hot flashes through diet. However, after a turbulent 2+ years during which I left my husband and moved from NH to NC, I returned to him where he had since moved to take a new job in mid-August. Upon arriving, menopause hit me full on: unbearable hot flashes, major mood swings (mostly the down kind), no period, insomnia, zero sex drive. My gynecologist prescribed Estradiol, which at first I balked at, being a holistic kind of girl. Also being a desperate girl, I began taking them and the hot flashes disappeared in 4 days. Dr Hess' book did a number of good things for me. First, it ties all these symptoms together so I can tackle them. Second, it gives me three different ways to manage them: medicinal, natural, and hormonal. Third, since knowledge is power, it gives me power over these unfortunate conditions so that I can look at this time as a transition towards a new life, and not the painful death of the old one. I look forward to getting weaned off the hormone therapy, knowing that implementing natural modalities now will probably get me there. If Dr Hess is speaking in the area, I hope you all will notify me/your readers so that we can take advantage of the opportunity to hear him firsthand.

Was I happy to discover this book today!!!

As a patient of Dr. Hess for about 8 years now, I have been consistently impressed by his knowledge, attention to detail, compassion, caring, and openmindedness to integrative medicine!

He truly CARES about each and every patient and it really shows!!

I just got his book today and just started reading it. I can't wait to read the whole book.

Knowing Dr. Hess, it's bound to be fascinating and packed with helpful information.

Dr. Hess really goes out of his way to ensure that patients have safe alternatives and his dedication to women is incredible. I feel fortunate to be his patient.

I'm very excited that his knowledge will reach a wider audience with this book than he ever could in his practice alone... however busy his practice might be.

Dr. Hess is a "gem". He bends over backwards to help patients and is just a wonderful, caring man who is passionate and enthusiastic about helping his female patients have the best quality of life possible!!

He is an inspiration! I can't wait to plow through this book!

Jeanne, longtime patient
